I get a knock on my door this morning, it’s the land lord of my ex wife and the mother of my two daughters. He knows me, and couldn’t figure out how to get a hold of her…
Their house burned completely down a few hours ago; their pets, which include a family dog and a couple of cats, were all destroyed in the blaze along with everything they own. They were in school when it happened, thank the Lord for that.
I’ll post more later, any supportive prayers and thoughts for my Erica and Melody would be much appreciated. I’ll go without before they should have to.

I am so sorry to hear about this, I cannot even begin to imagine the devastating impact losing everything you own including your home must feel. Especially in a fire in which your pets perish…. and to think that at the time of writing this, they are likely not even aware this has happened!

That’s terrible. I’m glad your girls and their mom were gone at the time of the fire. So sorry for them all. I will keep them in my thoughts.

I am so sorry for your loss. My husband and I lost everything we owned back in the fire of ’03 down here in So. Cal. It’s so disconcerting to think of all the things you HAVE to have (like toiletries, clothes, food, staples etc.) then you think of all the things you had and miss. Photos, family heirlooms etc. It’s very difficult. My heart goes out to your family.
When I get some money I’ll send you some.

I was talking with my ex wife today, and she lost all those baby pictures of them. But, ALL is not lost. That’s where ole dad was ‘smart’ and have virtually everyone of them myself and she’ll at least get those back.
She was happy to hear that.
